I did T16s on a 5L (and no Glorious Vanity for that matter, but the survivability difference is noticeable there). Disorienting display requires you to use an elemental skill (doesn't work on Phys conversion), and Doryani requires you to not only have life (No CI), but not "cap" leech. It's also one of few ways to get inc area. No idea why you're hating on it.

Been experimenting with different abilities in anticipation of the fix to GC mirage (abilities) poofing, and was pleasantly surprised to find that Doryani's Touch is supportable by General's Cry.
